Our Story
The Anchorage is rooted in a story of adventure, family, and a love for life on the water. Originally from Texas, the Ellis family sold everything in 2018 to live full time aboard their sailing catamaran, Mimzy. In 2020, they sailed into Camden and instantly felt at home.
After spending time building a life in the community and later returning to the sea for more years of exploration, they came back with a vision: to create a place where travelers could experience the same sense of freedom, connection, and simplicity they found along the way. The Anchorage is the result of that journey.

More Than Just a Stay
At The Anchorage, it’s not just about where you stay, but how it feels to be here. Inspired by gathering, shared stories, and the easy pace of coastal living, each stay is a chance to slow down and enjoy the moment. Whether you're exploring nearby towns or relaxing by your cabin, this is a place to feel present, comfortable, and at home.
